Our History

Manatee Educational Television was established in 1993

as the educational channel for Manatee County.

Since then, METV has partnered with many organizations across the county

to bring educational programming to the residents of Manatee County.

Our Team

Charles Clapsaddle - Station Manager

Charles Clapsaddle started in his career in broadcast over 35 years ago when he had the opportunity to work on several films in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area.During his tenure as Station Manager of Manatee Educational Television (METV), Charles has had the opportunity to develop the station to become a true community asset. Under Charles’ leadership, METV has won numerous accolades, awards and recognitions for their quality of work. He and his staff produce, on a regular basis, more than 15 original programs every month. These programs are a reflection of Manatee County and it’s citizens.

Christopher Dolan - Technical Director

Chris Dolan has over 24 years in the broadcast industry. He attended Full Sail University in Winter Park FL and gained experience in various aspects of television production. After graduation he began working on small films and commercial projects in central Florida, specifically in the grip and camera departments. He has contributed to special projects and daily production for the Home Shopping Network in St. Petersburg. Chris also spent 2.5 years in Master Control at WWSB ABC-40 (now ABC-7). This role managed the technical aspects of broadcasting, ensuring that all programs and commercials aired smoothly. Additionally, he spent 2 years as the Assistant Operations Manager at the Manatee Convention Center, managing staff and coordinating events. Chris has now worked for METV for over 21 years and loves working with local governments and non profit agencies.
